Water for Ghana
Water for Ghana is about putting water wells in where pure water does not exist. In Northern Ghana, many villages do not have access to clean water. The people must transport water, often for 5 to 10 kilometers

Drilling a Well

David Donkor of African Assistance Plan introduces himself and his team to the leadership of a needy village and offers to drill a water well with "no strings attached." He explains the benefits for the village. Upon acceptance, the leadership is consulted concerning the location of the well. This can often make a great difference. (In some cases, where the village is not consulted, the wells get little use.) This method is very necessary because of African culture. This respect of leadership and this act of friendship often opens up the village to other opportunities of aid-health care, hygiene training, education, micro-economics, etc. This one Act of Mercy leads to many more.

Village Well Dedication
In 2008 African Assistance Plan put in 95 new wells as well as restored and repaired others. Consider a gift to enrich a village of Ghana, or work with others in a fund-raiser. Some schools or classes have taken on a project to put in a new well. There are many options, won't you help?
